Certificates are available through the MSSW program in conjunction with other university departments. Kent School offers the School Social Work Certification, preparing individuals to learn the skills and gain the experience necessary to support the needs of youth while practicing social work in elementary and secondary school settings. This certification is a joint offering with the UofL College of Education. The certification is available to Kentucky residents only, and individuals completing the certification receive credentials through the Kent School. Students receive their Kentucky certification in school social work after applying to Frankfort through the College of Education.
