We are prepared to support your technology needs throughout your educational journey here at the Kent School. Our Kent IT staff members provide ongoing technology support for students, faculty and staff by assisting with software and hardware issues and answering technology questions. 

Below is a listing of software available for enrolled students, hardware requirements and resources that make it easier to navigate your technology needs. Visit UofL Information Technology Services for Students to learn more, and access videos and instructions on how to install the software you need for in-person and online learning.

Software and programs for students

Enrolled students use specific software and programs, and are provided free access to most. For details, visit UofL Information Technology Services (ITS) or use the quick links to log-in.

Adobe Creative Cloud

All enrolled students eligible for free access to Adobe products, both desktop and mobile apps, photography, video and more.

Blackboard

Blackboard is the online course management system used at the University of Louisville.

Canon print and mail services

CardBox

All enrolled students can request an account, which provides free secure, unlimited collaboration and online storage.

Eduroam (WiFi) Onboarding

All enrolled students have access to use our on-boarding tool to assist with best connectivity and extended certified access to the University’s wireless from any UofL location.

Email/Office 365

All enrolled students are eligible for free access to the MicroSoft Office365 suite of software online. It is downloadable on up to five (5) devices. The suite includes Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel and more.

IBM SPSS Statistics Software 

IBM SPSS Statistics Software is available for enrolled students to purchase as required by coursework. The cost is $158 through December 2026. Your instructor will let you know if this is required.

Matlab and Simulink

UofL's license to MATLAB and Simulink includes access to software, tools and online learning resources. Faculty, staff and students can analyze data, create visual mathematical models, sun simulations and much more.

Software purchases through ITech Xpress (online software hub)

Our online software hub has free and discounted specialized software for students and employees. 

UL2FCTR

Login with your UofL userid and password. Follow the prompts to enroll in Duo. Download the Duo app from your preferred app store. Set up your two-step confirmation process. Verify your identity using the Duo app.  

ULink

ULink is used to register for classes, access financial aid, view your tuition balance and more.

Chromebooks or anything that runs Chrome OS

iPads or android tablets, including Surface Pro

Apple Macintosh SupportMost MacBook and MacBook Pro devices work well on campus, but not all required software is available for Mac OS.  Mac laptops should run at least MacOS 15.4.1 (Sequoia)
